Hollywood director Antoine Fuqua is preparing to tell the story of legendary rapper Tupac Shakur. The “Training Day” director recently revealed that he will begin filming a Tupac biopic later this year. He states, quote,
“It looks like we’re doing Tupac Shakur’s movie next in September, that’s what I’ve been starting up and working on now.”
Fuqua says the film has been greenlit by the chairman of Morgan Creek Productions, James G. Robinson.
I wonder who will play Tupac, who do yall think should get the role?
Fuqua adds that while the film will include some veterans of the big screen, he hopes to cast a newcomer to play the part of Tupac. He explains, quote, “I want to discover a lot of new people if I can. Obviously I’m going to have to put some people in it that you know, just because actors have different skills. I want to go to the streets and find him anywhere he might be in the world.” A release date for Antoine Fuqua’s Tupac Shakur film has not been announced.
