B.o.B to Perform for President Obama

B.o.B has been invited to be among the elite few who have performed for the President of the United States.

The Atlanta native will travel to Washington, D.C. to perform at the historic DAR Constitution Hall on September 30 as the featured performer for the “National Gen44 Summit Kick Off Concert with President Barack Obama.” The three-day gathering was created by the Democratic National Committee to cultivate and empower young leaders.

It’s been a big year for B.o.B who recently opened forJay-Z and Eminem on the two New York stops on the “Home & Home” tour. The 2009 XXL Freshman also recently performed at the MTV VMAs alongside Bruno Mars and Hayley Williams of Paramore.

B.o.B also received seven nominations for the upcoming 2010 BET Hip-Hop Awards including MVP of the Year and CD of the Year.

Despite all the accolades and excitement B.o.B remains humble, “I just want to show people that there are endless possibilities of what you can do,” he said in a statement. “You don’t just have to be a rapper, you don’t just have to be a trapper; you can be anything you want to be and whatever you do, just love it and it will show.”

Bobby Ray’s “The Shootin’ For Stars Tour” will also continue through this and next month, ending in Washington D.C. on October 30.
