Prepare For Michael Jackson / Akon Debut Song Today

Over a year after his untimely passing, Michael Jackson is still cranking out singles. Are you ready for the new collaboration with the King Of Pop and Akon?

Hold My Hand,” the first official single from Michael Jackson’s forthcoming posthumous album Michael, premiered on the late singer’s website early Monday morning. The song, a duet with Akon, was recorded in 2007 and leaked in an unfinished version the following year; Akon completed the song after Jackson’s death in June 2009.

An unfinished copy of the 2007 song was leaked on the internet in 2008, but fans will be able to purchase the finished work as it was meant to be heard starting Monday. “The world was not ready to hear ‘Hold My Hand’ when it leaked a couple years ago. We were devastated about it,” says Akon.

While Epic did not list the producers involved, it did provide a track list for the album:

1. Hold My Hand (Duet with Akon)

2. Hollywood Tonight

3. Keep Your Head Up

4. (I Like) The Way You Love Me

5. Monster (Featuring 50 Cent)

6. Best Of Joy

7. Breaking News

8. (I Can’t Make It) Another Day (Featuring Lenny Kravitz)

9. Behind The Mask

10. Much Too Soon

‘Hold My Hand’ will be the first official single off Jackson’s soon-to-be released album, ‘Michael,’ which drops on Dec. 14.
