Chris Brown, Rihanna Team Up For Remix On ‘Birthday Cake’ For Her Birthday

The track is RIDICULOUS, and the most unlikely pairing in years, considering what went down in 2009. Rihanna and Chris Brown collaborated on a couple of songs to commemorate Ri-Ri’s birthday!

The two, who frequently tweet friendly messages at one another, seemed to officially bury the hatchet – and then some – when both tweeted out links to not one, but two collaborations Monday night.

“@chrisbrown Turn up the music remix #RihannaNavy #Teambreezy enjoy!!!” the Barbados songstress tweeted out to her fans, along with a link to a remix of Brown’s hit “Turn Up the Music,” which he performed at the Grammys just last week.

Less than a minute later, the singer followed up with another shoutout to her fans after Brown returned the favor, tweeting a link to the second collaboration.

“#RihannaNavy Come and put ya name on it!!!!! RT @chrisbrown: @rihanna YIKES!!! Cake, cake, cake!”

Moments later, Rihanna excitedly tweeted “Its a download OVERLOAD!!!! Working on more links for u guys, so errbody could have some #CAKE.”

not everyone is happy about it…celebrities like Miranda Lambert have been vocal in their disgust at his second-coming treatment at the awards show.

“Not cool that we act like that didn’t happen,” Lambert wrote on Twitter the day after the show. “He needs to listen to Gunpowder and lead and be put back in his place. Not at the Grammys.” “Gunpowder & Lead” is one of Lambert’s hits off her 2007 album “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend,” about a woman who gets ready to shoot and kill her abusive husband as soon as he’s released from jail.

What do you think? Is it too soon for Ri-Ri and Chris Breezy to link up? Do you like the track? Share with the class…
