Oops! He did it again!
Kanye West took to Twitter today to diss Britney Spears, just like he did Taylor Swift at the VMAs. With his song “H.A.M. (featuring Jay-Z)” stalled in the No. 2 position behind Spears’ “Hold It Against Me,” the rapper took to Twitter go in on Britney.
He’s nominated for two Grammys and recently won two American Music Awards — R&B singer Usher dropped some knowledge as to what he likes about women.
Forbes revealed their list of Hollywood’s 20 highest earners of 2010, including Beyoncé as the highest-earning artist, earning an estimated $87 million.
Lady Gaga scoops up yet another Top 10 award – this time for charitable giving.
Hey, as long as as Gaga (or whoever) beats out justin Bieber for anything right now, then i’m good with it.
As expected, Kanye West and Nicki Minaj arrive in the Nos. 1 and 2 slots, respectively, on the Billboard 200 albums chart.
Mr. West sold 496,000 of his “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy,” while Minaj moved 375,000 of her “Pink Friday” debut according to Nielsen SoundScan.
West’s 496,000 gives him his fourth straight No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 and the fourth-best sales week of 2010. It’s also a better launch than the 450,000 that greeted his last set, 2008’s “808s & Heartbreak.” As for Minaj, she racks up the second-best sales week for a female hip-hop act. Only Lauryn Hill has done better, when “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill” started at No. 1 with 423,000 in 1998.
The “Today” show host Matt Lauer introduced rapper Kanye West at the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Wonder how much crow Laurer ate instead of Thanksgiving turkey to intro Kanye for this one.
Not exactly dressed for the elements in a fur vest, shiny gold top (complete with multiple gold chains) and a pair of leather pants with matching headband, Kanye West performed a brief version of the song “Lost in the World” from his critically acclaimed album, “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy,” while riding aboard the Big Apple float.
The whole thing was rather anti-climatic for anyone looking for a rematch between Lauer and West.
Big Al says: Although Kanye West can be an arrogant brat, I’m rolling with Lupe Fiasco and Jay-Z stepping up defending Kanye on this one. Kanye West worse than President George W. Bush? I don’t think so, nice try. At least ‘Yeezy did’nt get shoes thrown at him when he’s on the podium.
